Travelling

Travelling is a way how to get somewhere. It's a good method of learning more about foreign countries, people and their customs.

Main reason of travelling is relax – people want to get away from daily stereotype, forget about their work and get rid of stress. The choice of holiday resort depends on money and our interests. Travelling doesn't depend on seasons – we travel during the whole year.The famous destinations in winter are mountains – Tatras or Alps. People do there winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, ice skating. In summer people travel to seaside resorts. The famous resorts are Egypt, Croatia, Italy, France, Spain, Greece...

If you don't like lying on the beach, you can spend your holiday in big cities. The cities like Paris or London offer many attractions for young and old visitors. You won`t bored there. You can visit museums, galleries, theatres, or go shopping. Travelling has a long tradition. In the past, people traveled mainly on foot, eventually by boats or on horses. Later they used steam trains. Today we can travel by car, bus, aeroplane, train, tramway, trolley, boats, metro and bike.

When I travel I always take my favourite book - The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Travellers want to know more about culture and habbits of the visited country. Travelling is a reason to study language and holiday abroad gives us opportunity to practise language and learn phrases, which aren't written in textbooks. As well tourists can try typical food and find new tastes. Visitors can watch historic buildings and get new knowledge about interesting places. They can be inspired and implement ideas in their homeland.
